How to Resolve HP Printers Paper Jams?

Modern printers offer several features in a surprisingly small package. There was time you might have had to go to your nearest photocopier for some of the services that are now standard on HP printers.

HP Printer Fixing Paper Jam

As our HP Printer Support team says the speed of HP printer is measured in PPM (Pages Per Minute) and some HP’s latest models offer up to 60 and more pages per minute. In addition, if you are using a coloured device, the printing speed will be around 40 ppm. This speed can be true only if your peripheral machine is not affected by paper jamming:

  • First of all, unplug the power cable from the nearby socket.

  • Make sure there is no other power supply attached to your printer; to prevent you from electric shocks.

  • Open the front panel/ cover carefully. Check the paper path for a paper jam or misfeed.

  • If the papers appear as crumpled or wadded up, remove all the jammed paper. Try to pull the paper slowly, don’t force or paper could separate into pieces and get stuck.

  • If you’re having issues getting the paper out you can refer the guidelines and diagrams which are usually located on the inside cover for key areas.

  • Reinsert the paper and adjust the paper guides to A4. You can also align the paper guides as per your need; for instance, A3 size sheets align guides to A3.

  • Plug the printer into the power socket to turn the printer on.

  • See if the pending job is done or not. Sometimes manual printers don’t delete their undone job; in that case, wait for a minute to check the last printing response. If the last job has been deleted or completed, you can resend or send a new job.
